Sterling Silver

My jewellery is handmade from sterling silver, an alloy containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, typically copper.

Over time, sterling silver may naturally tarnish due to its copper content. This is a normal process and can easily be removed with a silver polishing cloth, restoring your piece to its original shine.

To help keep your jewellery looking its best:

• Wear your jewellery regularly, as this can help reduce tarnishing.

• Store your pieces in a jewellery box or pouch when not being worn, as exposure to air and moisture can accelerate tarnishing.

• Apply perfumes, lotions, hairsprays and other beauty products before putting on your jewellery.

• Remove your jewellery before swimming, showering, exercising, or undertaking household cleaning.

• If your jewellery becomes wet, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Sea Glass pieces are crafted using silver-plated wire that has been treated to help reduce tarnishing.

To preserve the finish and appearance of your piece, I recommend avoiding contact with water and storing it in a dry place when not being worn.
